Outside the hotel where 250 US Catholic bishops are meeting, clergy sex abuse victims and their supporters will try to hand them fliers. The leaflets urge bishops to
--take an on-line virtual “tour” of places where 50 St. Louis predator priests live/d and work/ed, and
--make similar disclosures to back home: the names, photos, whereabouts and work histories of all child molesting clerics who’ve been in their dioceses (especially ones from out-of-town or out-of-state and whose local presence has likely gone unnoticed).

--Dennis Hastert to hold a news conference and publicly address accusations against him,
--federal prosecutors to issue a more detailed indictment of Hastert, and
--others who may have seen, suspected or suffered his crimes or misdeeds to call prosecutors now.
They will also prod three institutions to launch confidential, toll-free hotlines to “report suspected child sex crimes and other wrongdoing by teachers, coaches and Boy Scout officials:”
--the Illinois Attorney General’s office (312-814-3000),
--the Illinois Association of School Administrators (847-466-5075), and
--the Boy Scouts of America Chicago Area Council (312-421-8800).

As congregants enter and leave church services, clergy sex abuse victims and their supporters will hand out leaflets about a clergy abuse and cover up case in which
--a church worker admitted having child porn,
--his supervisors kept quiet about the crimes and
--“disciplined” his wife for trying to trying to end their marriage.
The victims will
--blast church officials for their “recklessness, callousness and deceit,”
--urge them to explain and apologize for their “hurtful actions,” and
--prod anyone else who may have “seen, suspected or suffered” the predators’ crimes or church cover ups to “call police, expose wrongdoers, get help, protect others and start healing.”
