2,395 allegations of sexual abuse at religious schools - inquiry finds

The report has found that there were 2,395 allegations of sexual abuse in respect of 308 schools recorded by the religious orders that ran those schools

When a New Mexico bankruptcy judge ruled against a clergy sex abuse claimant earlier this summer in her legal dispute with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, he may have issued more than a routine legal opinion and order.

DILI, East Timor (AP) — When the Vatican acknowledged in 2022 that the Nobel Peace Prize-winning, East Timorese independence hero Bishop Carlos Ximenes Belo had sexually abused young boys, it appeared that the global clergy sexual abuse scandal that has compromised the Catholic Church’s credibility around the world had finally arrived in Asia’s newest country.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City Catholic Deacon has been suspended after a lawsuit claimed he sexually abused a teenage boy decades ago.

The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph announced on Wednesday, Aug. 7, that it had been made aware of an accusation that Brother Ralph Wehner had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor.
