MK Safety Net Becomes Bronze Level Sponsor for SNAP’s Mini-Conferences

We are delighted to announce that MK Safety Net has become a Bronze Level Sponsor for SNAP’s 2021 virtual mini-conferences. Each of these one-day conferences is free to attendees and will provide new resources for support of and education to our audience of advocates, sexual abuse survivors, and their families.

The next mini-conference will be held on June 12 with a focus on “Legislative Advocacy,” guiding attendees on how best to advocate for sexual abuse survivors and to provide resources to them and their families. Guest speakers for this conference are Jennifer Storm (survivor, author, consultant and victim’s rights expert) and Jeffrey R. Dion (Chief Executive Officer of Zero Abuse Project). Nancy J. Hill will provide a heart-centered mediation between sessions. To register for this mini-conference, click https://www.snapnetwork.org/june21_mini_conference.

The difficult journey of recovering from abuse can be even more daunting for Adult Missionary Kids (MKs) and others who spent their childhoods growing up overseas. MK Safety Net, a SNAP Chapter since 2009, understands the unique challenges that MKs face and offers them hope, encouragement and advocacy on their healing journeys.

We offer our sincerest gratitude to MK Safety Net for its support of our mini-conferences and for the excellent work it does for survivors within our network.

In the mid-1990s, SNAP came alongside MKs and helped guide their efforts to raise awareness of abuse in mission settings. We appreciate what SNAP has done for us down through the years, what they continue to do in confronting abuse in various religious settings and the great networking opportunities they provide for their chapters.
