Priest suspended; SNAP responds

Whatever became of all those pledges by Driscoll and his brother bishops to be “open” about clergy sexual misdeeds? This kind of continuing secrecy violates the promises Catholic officials have made over and over again for the past decade.

In cases like this, Idaho Catholics and citizens need and deserve more than just the same old secrecy that helped enable thousands of clerics to sexually violate hundreds of thousands of innocent kids and vulnerable adults.

We urge anyone who may have seen, suspected or suffered this priest's misdeeds to contact police officials, not church officials.
