VATICAN CITY — Cardinal George Pell, one of Pope Francis' top advisers, took a leave of absence as the Vatican's financial czar on Thursday to fight multiple criminal charges in his native Australia that allege he committed sexual assault years ago.

What: The second annual walk across the Brooklyn Bridge in support of child sex abuse survivors.

When: Sunday, June 4 at 11:00 AM EDT

Where: The walk will begin from Brooklyn and end at City Hall with an open mic for victims to share their stories. Followed by a vigil for all those who have been hurt.

What:

At a press conference, the nation’s largest support group for clergy sex abuse victims will hand deliver a letter to Cardinal Dolan forDolan’s head of his Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Plan. The letter asks that Feinberg:

- Make survivors partners in the compensation plan moving forward

- Gain access to secret church evidence and files when reviewing cases

- Make public his criminal reporting protocols

- Release names of predators, as Dolan has promised
