2012 Annual Conference

It's time again for the SNAP Annual Conference! This year our conference will take place in Chicago at the Hilton Rosemont!

Speakers will include:

Mannix Flynn will be performing his groundbreaking play "James X" on Saturday July 28, at 8:00PM. "James X" debuted off-Broadway last year, and was directed by Gabriel Byrne and produced by Liam Neeson. Tickets to see his performance are only $20 for people NOT registered for the conference. SNAP conference registration includes FREE tickets to this production!

Rev. Barry Lynn is a talented speaker, lawyer, and activist. He is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and for the last twenty years has been the executive director of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. Barry will provide a unique perspective as someone with a religious background as well as someone who fights for civil liberties.

Judy Braun is an advocate for children in the Orthodox Jewish community and an author. Her novel Hush is about sexual abuse in the Jewish community.  Judith will share her experiences living and working in the orthodox community while being an out spoken advocate for survivors.

Dr. James Chu is a world renowned psychiatrist working on PTSD and dissociative disorders.   and was an expert witness in Boston at the Fr. Shanley trial. He will be discussing forgotten memories of childhood abuse, recovering those memories and his experience on the Shanley trial.
