Once again, Cardinal Mahony is using the generosity of parishioners to finance the secrecy of predators. Donations from the faithful funding the protection of the guilty.

It is shameful to argue that somehow "the practice of Catholicism" means keeping the crimes of pedophile priests hidden.

Innocent children, hurting victims and devout Catholics will all suffer because Mahony continues to value his reputation above all else.
