Statement Regarding Catholic Donations to Charity

"We are pleased that Catholics across America support the charities of their choice directly and generously, while many are also bypassing their bishop's annual appeal. We hope this trend of direct giving continues into the future. Since so many of the current bishops in America have been responsible for allowing sexual predators to remain in ministry around children, Catholics should remain vigilant about the safety of their children as they continue to directly support charities that help people in need."
