"It is clear that the Bishops desperately want us all to believe that everything is "hunky dorey". We wish that were the case. What small progress we have seen has come largely thanks to brave survivors, supporters, loved ones, more assertive law, and increasingly outspoken and skeptical lay people.

We've seen "reform" on paper, but little genuine improvement in Bishops' behavior. The one notable exception has come from the consistent actions of survivor advocacy of Bishop Paul Bootowski of New Jersey over the past year."
