We have just learned that yet another priest in the Greensburg diocese has been accused of child sex abuse.

We urge anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Fr Joseph E. Bonafed , who has been accused of child sex abuse, to report to law enforcement, not the church officials, they are not the proper officials to be investigating child sex crimes. We are thankful the brave victim reported it to the PA Attorney General's hotline.

Although he has been removed from ministry, we urge Bishop Edward C. Malesic to go to every parish where he worked and reach out to anyone who may have been abused by Bonafed and urge them to contact law enforcement.

(SNAP, the Survivors Network, is the world's oldest and largest support group for victims of sexual abuse in institutional settings. SNAP was founded in 1988 and has a network of more than 25,000 survivors and supporters. Our website is SNAPnetwork.org )
