Recently "Outed" Abusive Priest Works in Denver

A priest just publicly declared a “credibly accused” child molester by a Kansas archbishop now apparently lives in Denver.

We strongly urge the cleric’s supervisors and colleagues, including Denver Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila and his staff - to keep Fr. Gottschalk away from kids and aggressively reach out to anyone else who may have seen, suspected or suffered crimes or misdeeds by him or any other priest in the Denver area.

A brother of the religious order known as the Capuchin Franciscans (OFM Cap.), Fr. Dave Gottschalk was “outed”by Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City Kansas when Naumann listed him on a church website as having faced “substantiated” allegations of child sexual abuse.

According to the list, more than one person accuses Fr. Gottschalk of molesting them and that the priest was last known to be at San Antonio Friary in Denver. Catholic officials in both Colorado and Kansas should use pulpit announcements, parish bulletins and church websites to warn police, prosecutors, parents, parishioners and the public about Gottschalk.
