NY - Sex abuse case moves forward, SNAP responds
We applaud these brave victims who have come forward and revealed the abuse they suffered. Because of their actions children are safer.
While we are grateful that this case can move forward, we worry that unless those that shield and enable predators are held accountable nothing will change and children will continue to be needlessly placed at risk. Diocesan officials once again but the needs of the predator and the reputation of the organization ahead of the safety of the innocent and the vulnerable.
We hope that all those who have seen, suspected, or suffered sex crimes within the Diocese of Syracuse will come forward and make a report to police.
