Today has been a long time in coming – over 30 years ago.  I didn’t ever think I would see this day, and really didn’t want it to come to this in many ways, but it has.  Some would say that is simply too long ago, we must simply forgive and forget. And in some ways that is true.  We must forgive.  

At least 11 clerics who worked at schools in the Seattle archdiocese are publicly and credibly accused child molesters. We suspect the real number is much higher. 

It's heartbreaking but predictable that a suspended LA predator priest has resurfaced working for a school district. Some 260 LA catholic clerics are proven, admitted or credibly accused child molesters. So in the month and years ahead, we expect we'll see more and more painful stories about these pedophile priests being found around vulnerable kids and unsuspecting families.

At the risk of seeming contrary, we hope church and government officials do NOT apologize to the hundreds of women who were abused at the Magdalene Laundry.

A New Jersey Catholic priest – who pled guilty to molesting a Jersey City boy in the early 1980s - will stay locked up until he goes on trial for molesting three Missouri boys in the late 1980s, a judge has ruled on Friday.

Vindictive victims, greedy lawyers, salacious reporters, inept therapists, unfair laws - these are among the many targets of Cardinal Roger Mahony's favorite hobby - blaming others for his archdiocese's on-going clergy sex crimes and cover up crisis.

We thank them for leading the fight to make the truth known about what Church officials in Los Angeles knew about clergy abuse, and what they did to prevent this information from being made public. 

Headlines falsely claim that Mahony has been “banished” or “punished” or “outed.” That’s baloney. Listen to what knowledgeable Catholic staffers and journalists are saying about this.
