Catholic Priest Accused of Sexual Misconduct to Appear in Court

An Ohio priest who has been accused of sexual assault of a minor is due in court todayHopefully Fr. Henry Christopher Foxhoven, who admitted to getting a young girl pregnant, will be given a long jail sentence. This is the only way to deter this kind of abuse from happening again.

And maybe law enforcement should look at the possibility that this priest's co-workers or supervisors may have ignored or hidden signs of his abusive behavior.

Let's hope that anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Foxhoven will come forward and contact law enforcement. Any little bit of information could help this case. Silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

From a clinical perspective, I doubt any lengthy incarceration will serve as a deterrent to those who abuse youth. I will presume he has abused others. We classify pedophiles who prefer prepubescent youth from those who prefer post-pubescent ones. We further classify those who are circumstantial and those who are preferred. In my examination of predators who are clergy, few are imprisoned, and when they are the duration is 2 to 3 years?
