Damning Cardinal Dolan letter is released; SNAP responds

In 2007, then-Milwaukee Archbishop Dolan wrote that moving $57 million in church funds will provide "improved protection of these funds from any legal claim and liability.

The Dolan letter, sent to the Vatican, is one of roughly 5,000 pages of long hidden church records that are being made public today as part of a bankruptcy proceeding. A month after Dolan’s request, Vatican officials approved the shuffling of funds.

Vatican officials move at a glacial pace, if at all, to protect kids from predator priests. But they move with lightning speed to protect church officials from criticism and church money from victims.
