Finally, more than two years after his conviction, Bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City, MO has been ousted. This is a tiny but belated step forward. Click here to read our statement!
We applaud all the survivors, their family members, whistle blowers, prosecutors and advocates of children's safety who helped lead to Finn's conviction in 2012. And we thank Kansas City SNAP Leaders and supporters Mike Hunter, Abbott Durocher, Phil Pisciotta, the late Kay Goodnow, David Biersmith, and Sr Jeanne Christiansen who have tirelessly worked to expose the truth.
As always, we encourage you to share our statement via Facebook and Twitter and comment on articles to spread the word. The more opportunities we create for ourselves to expose news about accused priests, cover-up and survivor victories, the more likely we are to be discovered by someone hiding in secrecy and shame.
SNAP Midwest Director Peter Isely had this editorial published in the National Catholic Reporter: Bishop Finn takes flight, but is the summer of Pope Francis upon us?
