All Survivors Day 2020 - Share your Story on Social Media with #AllSurvivorsDay
Join us in recognizing All Survivors Day on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Due to the ongoing situation with COVID, we are not going to promote in-person events, but instead are focusing on a digital engagement campaign with our ASD partner organizations. We need your help to make this year’s ASD special!
The biggest thing we want folks to hear on All Survivors Day are the voices, experiences, and wishes of survivors. As SNAP leaders, we are hoping you will participate by taking simple cell-phone videos of yourself (and encouraging the survivors in your local group as well!) and use those videos to talk about one of the following themes:
- Your story and journey as a survivor,
- What folks can do to help support survivors in your area, or
- Positive and uplifting messages for survivors around the world.
You can post these videos to Facebook, twitter, or Instagram and use the hashtag #AllSurvivorsDay so that folks can follow along and hear the stories and voices of survivors on this day of celebration. If you need some inspiration, here are some great videos SNAP leaders recorded a couple of years ago. And if you’re not sure how to make a good video with your cell phone, here’s an article with some tips and tricks on how to make the best video possible.
We look forward to celebrating survivors on All Survivors Day with you! If you have any questions, please contact us or visit allsurvivorsday.org.
