Young Catholic priest, studied in OR, arrested for child sex crimes

A Catholic priest who spent nearly a decade in Oregon was arrested late last week in California on child sex charges. He attended Mount Angel Seminary in St. Benedict, Ore., from 1998 to 2007.

We are glad that Sacramento law enforcement acted quickly with Fr. Uriel Ojeda. We beg other victims to come forward. We would encourage Bishop Soto to personally visit every parish where Fr. Ojeda worked and seek out victims or witnesses there as well.

Cases like these illustrate that this abuse is still taking place, and cannot be blamed on a specific generation or limited to a specific time period but rather on the rigid, secretive, all-male, hierarchy that continues to ignore and conceal sexual violence.

You have said what people involved in the RCC should have realized a long , long time ago. It’s just common sence to know that sexually abusing a child in the RCC is the worst possible scenario that could ever happen to any child, handicapped or mentally marginalized.

These people claim to be " The "Representatives of Jesus Christ here on earth. That’s why the people have to confess their sins to them rather than to God Almight Himself.

    What foolish people. Get real..GetOut!~
