TX--Houston-Galveston survivors say "Please Help Us Protect Kids"

Please help us protect kids!

WHO WE ARE

We are child sex abuse victims who belong to a self-help group called SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. Thank you for reading this flier.

WHY WE’RE HERE
We want to protect the vulnerable, heal the wounded, and expose the truth about clergy who commit and conceal child sex crimes. Specifically, we want Cardinal DiNardo to ensure transparency of child sexual abuse and cover ups in his archdiocese.

According to BishopAccountability.org the following clerics are proven, admitted or credibly accused Houston/Galveston archdiocesan predators:
Terrence P. Brinkman                     Richard A. Edelin
Anthony Hernandez Gonzales           Charles Guerra
Dale Anthony Guidry                      Fernando Noe Guzman
Stephen R. Horn                            John T. Keller
Jesse S. Linam                              William Hodgson Marshall
Vincent A. Orlando                         Juan Carlos Patino-Arango
Lawrence O. Pegeuro                      Dennis L. Petterson
Robert C. Ramon                            Walter Dayton Salisbury
Charles K. Schoppe                         Donald L. Stavinoha

HOW YOU CAN HELP

-- Ask Cardinal DiNardo ([email protected]) to post the names, photos, whereabouts and work histories of proven, admitted and credibly accused child molesting clerics on church websites, so that kids can be safer and victims can be healed. (About 30 US bishops have done this.)
-- Talk with anyone you know who attends or works at Catholic churches. Urge them to share what they know or suspect about child sex crimes with police and prosecutors (not church officials).
-- Visit Bishop-Accountability.org to learn more about the predator priests in Houston/Galveston.
-- Educate yourself about how best to react when child sex abuse reports surface. Read our suggestions on “What to do when your priest is accused” on our website – SNAPnetwork.org
-- Remember, most victims of child sex abuse tell no one about their pain. They suffer in shame, confusion, isolation and self-blame. All of us can make kids and churches safer by bringing up this difficult subject and simply asking our friends and family members if they were hurt as children.
