SNAP worries about victims of murderous priest

Statement by David Clohessy Executive Director 314 566 9790 SNAPclohessy@aol.com

We ache for the family of Sr. Pahl who deserve some degree of closure. We are firm believers in 'due process,' even for convicted murderers and accused molesters like Fr. Robinson. At the same time, however, this priest's endless legal maneuvers rub even more salt into the already deep and still fresh wounds of those he has so severely hurt.

Robinson's shrewd lawyers can make all kinds of spurious claims. But they can't alter one clear fact: professional law enforcement officials and unbiased jurors heard the evidence and found Fr. Robinson guilty of brutally murdering a nun. Let no one forget this.

(SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, is the world’s oldest and largest support group for clergy abuse victims. SNAP was founded in 1988 and has more than 10,000 members. Despite the word “priest” in our title, we have members who were molested by religious figures of all denominations, including nuns, rabbis, bishops, and Protestant ministers. Our website is SNAPnetwork.org)
