Victims of priest abuse respond to new lawsuit filed in Denver

Archbishop Chaput will split hairs, deny involvement and duck responsibility for this accused predator. But we believe he has a civic and moral duty to use his vast archdiocesan resources to reach out to anyone who saw, suspected of suffered this cleric's crimes. We urge Chaput to go to every parish where this priest worked, even temporarily, and beg victims and witnesses to call law enforcement, get help, and start recovering.

Barbara Blaine is President and Founder of SNAP, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. SNAP is the largest and oldest support group for survivors of clergy abuse. Despite having the word “priest” in the title survivors of abuse by ministers, nuns, brothers, Sunday-school teachers, choir directors, etc are welcome in SNAP.
