Pope leaves Boston off his US trip itinerary

Statement by David Clohessy, National Director of SNAP 314-566-9790

The pope, by leaving Boston off his trip, may be missing a perfect opportunity to promote healing.  Throughout the entire American church there remain deep and fresh wounds caused by wide spread cover ups of clergy sex crimes.  There is no better place to begin addressing these wounds than in Boston.  We hope no matter where he visits the pope will announce genuine reforms that will truly safe guard children.
