SNAP responds to court ruling in Arkansas
We hope Arkansas lawmakers quickly remedy this dangerous situation. Teachers, like clerics, enjoy tremendous power over the youngsters and teens that rely on them for guidance. That power is easily abused, almost always with devastating consequences.
It's never wise or healthy for adults in positions of prestige to sexually exploit younger individuals - whether at the college, high school or elementary levels.
Doctors can't have any kind of sex with any patient. Therapists can't have any kind of sex with clients. And teachers shouldn't have any kind of sex with students. And our laws should reflect this.
