SNAP applauds brave victim in St. Louis for coming forward
We applaud this brave man for coming forward and reporting his abuse. We hope that anyone who has been harmed will follow his lead and report the crimes to professionally trained law enforcement not church officials. That those who have suspected or seen misdeeds by this coach, no matter how old or how insignificant the information and work with law enforcement to reveal the truth.
We urge diocesan and school officials to be open and honest. To reveal how long ago they received the allegations. To report how many allegations they have received and the years the abuse took place. While writing to their alums is a first step. We hope they will also beg employees and former employees to also work with law enforcement.
Children are safe when predators are behind bars. We beg anyone with information to step forward and break their silence.
