NE- Diocese refuses to participate in church abuse program

A Catholic panel has released a report on whether and how bishops are abiding by the vague, weak and virtually never enforced "Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People."
The Diocese of Lincoln is once again in violation of the Charter. The diocese did not allow church 'auditors' to come in and do their jobs.

Bishop James Conley had only been the bishop of Lincoln for a month in 2012, but that was plenty of time to make a positive change. We are disappointed that he is following in his predecessor's footsteps and not honoring their commitment to protect children.
We hoped Bishop Conley would have made a difference. We hope he honors his pledge and his duty and complies with the Charter for the 2014 review though we doubt he will.
We also hope that every single person who sees, suspects or suffers clergy sex crimes in Nebraska to call police officials, not Catholic officials.

2023 has been a long year with many ups and downs for us all. As we close out the year, we at SNAP hope that you are feeling like you are on your way to being healthy, fulfilled, and happy. This past year has brought both successes and challenges. Thanks to the support you have shown in the past, we’ve been able to celebrate the good days and weather the stormy ones. Now, we are once again asking for your support as we work to support survivors new and old as we ‘Move SNAP Forward.’
At SNAP we are proud to have hosted a very well-attended conference in August 2023. This event allowed us to gather friends, survivors, advocates, and allies for a weekend of camaraderie and connection. We were so happy to be able to welcome many first-time attendees to gather in person and are already looking forward to the next conference.
To strengthen our movement for justice, healing, and prevention, SNAP will be expanding our peer support and providing more volunteer opportunities in the coming year. Through this great work, we are ensuring survivor voices are represented as we work for significant change that will benefit children and survivors.
Right now, survivors worldwide are getting the help they need from SNAP, and more and more reach out to us daily, but we need your help to keep those programs going and get our volunteers the training they need to thrive.

EXCERPT: Chapter Seventeen vividly depicts the features of the Apostate Church. It is done in graphically precise detail. The Apostle John beheld the ten-horned beast carrying a woman dressed in purple and scarlet, decked with gold, precious stones, and pearls, a harlot, and the mother of harlots and abominations. She is the paramour of kings, merciless, cruel, intoxicated with the blood of the saints and of the martyrs of Christ Jesus. These symbols are brilliantly portrayed. “The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth” (v 9).This the Holy Spirit clarifies by proclaiming, “the woman which thou sawest is that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth” (v 18). The city indisputably is Rome. The name upon the harlot’s brow is “mystery” (v 5)."
My hope for David and the countless other Catholics who are deceived (as I once was) by this diabolical system, that they would heed the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ as it is found in Rev. 18:6:
“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

I think if you were honest with yourself you would have to concede at this juncture that all your “hopes” for change and/or reform have been systematically dashed. The Roman Catholic institution is morally and spiritually bankrupt and corrupt through and through! Moreover . . Roman Catholicism is not Christ’s Church!
