MO - Baptist church elder arrested in Springfield, SNAP responds
We are grateful to Springfield police and prosecutors for pursuing the case against Scott Blair with such vigor. These are heinous crimes, and children in Springfield are much safer with Blair off the streets.
Our hearts ache for the now-teenage victims, but we applaud them for their remarkable courage in coming forward at such a young age.
Church officials at Southeast Bible Chapel have a duty to reach out to their congregation and beg anyone who saw, suspected, or suffered crimes by Blair to come forward and make a report to police. Now, more than ever, breaking the silence about Blair’s crimes can ensure both justice for the victims and the prevention of future abuse.
