I often wonder how many teenage suicides former satanic catholic priest John Wellinger was responsible for? At least two boys would kill themselves in 1989. One was a former altar boy of Wellinger when the priest was an assistant pastor at St. Clare of Assisi In Clairton, PA. The other boy killed himself while Wellinger was pastor at Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin, PA.

Wellinger also sexually assaulted an 11-year-old altar boy in 1989, again while he was pastor at Holy Spirit Church. According to Bishop David Zubik, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, formerly bishop of the Pittsburgh Diocese, their records indicate that no one stepped forward until 1995 to complain about Wellinger’s dysfunctional sex behavior. My records indicate taht as early as 1987, the Pittsburgh Diocese was warned about Wellinger’s sexual shenanigans.

Who do you believe? Mike Ference or Zubik or Wuerl?

I first reported on Brother Ken Ghastin back in August of 2009. It takes awhile for the Pittsburgh Diocese and the Pittsburgh media to play catch up. You would think the Pittsburgh media would be curious as to why I know so much about cler…gy sex abuse, maybe the Pittsburgh media simply doesn’t give a damn about children being used as sex toys.

Serra Catholic alumni asked to come forward
March 7, 2013 12:07 am
Serra Catholic High School is asking former students to come forward if they were abused by Franciscan Brother Kenneth Ghastin, a teacher at the school between 1983 and 1991.
Brother Ghastin was accused of abusing two minors in Boston in the 1970s, according to a letter sent to Serra Catholic alumni.
The Rev. Ronald Lengwin, spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, said there have been no allegations of misconduct against Brother Ghastin during his time at Serra Catholic, and the letter is “part of our procedure.”
Although the letter explains Brother Ghastin was accused of abuse about 20 years ago — and it was reported in the Boston Herald in 2002 — Father Lengwin said “we didn’t hear anything about him until now.”

I will continue to dictate policy for the all-but defunct Pittsburgh Diocese. I take no pleasure in this role, but do so willingly for the sake of all survivors of catholic clergy sex abuse, worldwide. The sins and the crimes of Donald “The Lavender Don Wuerl” and all the hierarchy of the Pittsburgh Diocese will begin to unravel, one-by-one.

So far, I have forced the Pittsburgh Diocese and Serra …Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA to send out caution letters to alumni concerning former Serra High School Headmaster Father Michael LeDoux. LeDoux was credibly accused of sexually abusing a student.

The letters have been sent out and received by alumni.
Is one letter enough? I don’t think so.

According to former city of Clairton Public Safety Director Bill Scully, the McKeesport Police deliberately covered up the attempted murder of my son on December 5, 1989, because again, according to Scully, the shooter may have been sexually abused by former catholic priest Father John Wellinger or perhaps another Serra Catholic cleric.

So what good is a letter warning of a credibly accused cleric, if the alumni are not warned of a corrupt police department and a corrupt political municipality?

Is it possible that Serra Catholic alumni or parents of alumni, reported sexual abuse claims to the McKeesport Police years ago, only to have their claims minimized, resulting in no one pressing charges? Maybe McKeesport Police intimidated or coerced alumni of Serra or their parents not to press charges.

The city of McKeesport is the hub of Synchronized Crime in Allegheny County. One only has to Google the following scandals to get an idea just how corrupt this area really is. Try goggling Tanya Kach scandal, Cornell Middle School Scandal, McKeesport Police overtime scandal, Pat Risha Ralph Imbrogno bid rigging, Zappala Crime Family, etc., to get an idea what a cesspool McKeesport and surrounding communities really are.

As the discovery process continues to unravel, one can only speculate on the number of civil lawsuits that may be filed against all of these guilty parties.

If anyone would like more information about my investigation feel free to contact me at 412-233-5491 or email me at mike@ferencemarketing.com.

I’m not a lawyer, but the lopsided settlement that Alan Perer and his firm negotiated for the 32 victims of alleged sexual abuse by priests in the Pittsburgh Diocese more closely resembles being snookered than kindness and generosity on the part of the Pittsburgh Diocese.

More to come, much more.

Here are a few more pieces to the pedophile puzzle of the Pittsburgh Diocese. Douglas Nowicki, the current archabbot as St. Vincent College & Seminary was the secretary of Education in the Pittsburgh Diocese under Bevilacqua and Wuerl. He’s just another in a long line of dysfunctional sex freaks who preyed on all sorts of victims.

Rembrent Weakland, another dysfunctional sex freak was also the archabbot at St. Vincent in Latrobe, PA. He recently visited Nowicki who is rumored to have had a sexual relationship with Weakland years ago.

Also Bernard Law would visit with Nowicki before the disgraced red hat was deported to Rome. One can only wonder if it was to remind Nowicki that LeDoux and Ghastin had been credibly accused of sexually abusing young boys.

Clergy sex abuse, cover-ups and Synchronized Crime in the Pittsburgh Diocese
By Mike Ference

I wouldn’t look to the Pittsburgh media or the Pittsburgh Diocese for any help when it comes to exposing Michael LeDoux for the sake of any other …victims of abuse. The Pittsburgh media and the district attorney’s office have always accommodated Bishop Zubik, Donald “The Lavender Don” and all Pittsburgh clerics when the need to cover-up crimes of clergy sex abuse would arise.

The case of Michael LeDoux may be a difficult one for them to shake my accusations. I first exposed Michael LeDoux on the Mckeesport Topix Internet site on November 19, 2012. I posted the email I sent to all the administrators and teachers at Serra Catholic High School: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/mckeesport-pa/TGRGUN8005Q57SRGI/p6

Here’s what we know so far. The Catholic Church worldwide has a reputation of covering up clergy sex abuse crimes against innocent children for centuries. The Catholic Church Hierarchy willingly placed additional children in harm’s way by recycling these pedophile priests in other parishes so they could repeat their crimes time and time again.

In the case of Michael LeDoux being assigned Headmaster at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA let’s take a look at the school’s history of scandals in following articles we’ll review the sordid history of McKeesport scandals – a town I would compare to Steubenville, Ohio most recently exposed for the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl by two high school football players who may have transported the victim from crime scene to crime scene where she was repeatedly sexually assaulted.

Michael LeDoux was not the first cleric I exposed at Serra Catholic High School. In August of 2009 I wrote about Brother Kenneth Ghastin and the allegations of sexual abuse against two twin brothers. Sadly, one of the alleged victims of Ghastin would commit suicide shortly after the civil case was settled.

This is just one more reason why Serra Catholic High School, Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh Diocese must step forward and announce publicly the allegations against LeDoux and Ghastin.
I first wrote about Ghastin when I was a writer for the Examiner, and Internet reporting site. Here’s a link to my article: http://www.bishopaccountability.org/news2009/07_08/2009_08_13_Ference_DonaldWuerl.htm

Here are a few more reasons why the Pittsburgh Diocese has deliberately neglected to warn alleged victims of LeDoux and Ghastin.

Nicolas Cafardi, a canon lawyer with ties not only to the Pittsburgh Diocese, Duquesne University and The US Bishop’s Conference; might not want to share all that he knows about clergy sex abuse cases within the Pittsburgh Diocese, more on Cafardi at a later date.

Still another reason for a cover-up in the LeDoux and Ghastin cases, both Catholic priests could have and should have wreaked havoc on the case of 32 alleged sex abuse victims of Catholic priests in the Pittsburgh Diocese. The civil suit was a landmark judgment based on a civil suit involving Chris Mathews vs. Father John Wellinger.

Wellinger was a credibly accused pedophile from the Pittsburgh Diocese who I’ve written about extensively.

Again, with credible accusations involving Ghastin and LeDoux and the information passed on to me by former city of Clairton Public Safety Director William Scully in January of 1990 that John Wellinger may have sexually abused the 15-year-old Serra Catholic High School Student who tried to kill my son on December 5, 1989, a much different verdict may have been reached. Factor in that Scully also gave me information about Wellinger drugging and possibly assaulting a University of Pittsburgh student in 1987. I talked to Greg Witkowski the alleged victim of John Wellinger’s assault, he verified much of what Scully had told me or passed on to me in his written notes. Notes now over 24 years-old and notes that I still have in my procession.

Where’s an honest district attorney when you need one. I will continue to work with federal authorities and my citizen-driven investigative team to bring justice to the many victims of the Pittsburgh Diocese.

Much more to come including Father Daniel Valentine, a fixer for the Pittsburgh Diocese who just a few months ago found himself in quite a fix. I will continue to report on the many sexual abuse cases dating back years within the Pittsburg Diocese, likewise, I will continue to report on the cover-ups.

I coined the phrase “Synchronized Crime” to best describe the partnership between Allegheny County Government, the Pittsburgh Diocese, wealthy community donors to the Pittsburg Diocese, the Zappala Crime Family and many more who spend their time protecting pedophile priests instead of innocent children, God’s most precious commodities.

Here’s a link to an article outlining the cover-up of the of the civil case involving the 32 victims of alleged sexual abuse in the Pittsburgh Diocese:

Maybe the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has something to hide?

PG Reporter propositioned by Father John Wellinger?
By Mike Mike Ference

Against the advice of former Clairton Public Safety Director Bill Scully, I decided to contact a reporter from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. When I revealed the reporter’s name to Scully, he almost seemed relieved it was Ken Evans.

Evans billed himself as an investigative reporter. All I knew about him was that he had covered the story on the attempted murder of my son and the suicide of the shooter. I figured Evans would have been privy to the police reports, McKeesport and maybe even the report from PA State Trooper Corporal Robert Griffin. More importantly, maybe he had gleaned some information off the record from investigators, parents, teachers, whomever. Factor in the information I would supply to Evans, the so-called investigative reporter could easily have reserved a table for himself and friends at the next Pulitzer banquet.

I met Evans early in the morning at SYSCO Foodservice of Pittsburgh in Harmony, PA. That’s where I would work for the next year or so until I was forced out. My last day would be July 24, 1992. It would be my wife’s birthday. Nineteen years later, again on my wife’s birthday, this article is being written.
Evans and I left the SYSCO plant for a nearby Burger King. I bought a coffee for myself, Evans passed. We headed for a picnic table under or near a tree about 30 from the fast food restaurant but still on the property.

I explained to Evans that Bill Scully had provided with details about the investigation and that Scully was convinced the entire case was deliberately botched. I volunteered information on the notes Scully gave to me, he assured me, he could help. I told Evans that Scully was all but convinced that Father John Wellinger, a Catholic pastor at Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin, PA had sexually abused the shooter in my son’s case. I described to Evans the details about what Wellinger did to Greg Witkowski in 1987 when the teenage boy barely made it to the emergency room at a Pittsburgh Hospital (now part of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) based on what I knew then from Scully’s notes.

I left the meeting with Evans a small-framed fellow, hoping he would do his job and write a story about the information I passed on to him. After several months, dozens of phone calls and finally realizing that Evans would never lift a finger to help my investigation, I would move on.

Eventually, Evans would move on as well. According to a Post Gazette reporter, Evans would leave the PG in the early 90s and take with him some sort of settlement. Could Evans have sold the information I gave to him for some sort of cash prize worth more than his dignity and self worth as a would-be journalist?
One thing I failed to mention. According to Evans, Father John Wellinger propositioned the reporter as he and his wife were preparing to have one of their children baptized at a Catholic Church years before. The church was in Wilkensburg and John Welinger was an assistant pastor.

At first, I thought Evans was using the story as a ploy to test my reaction. Would I be overly enthused and insist that Wellinger was a homo, and possibly lose credibility for not having an open or objective mind towards the investigation. I can only assume that what Evans told me is correct. To this day, I never bothered to find out if Evans and his wife were actually parishioners in the Wilkensburg Cathtolic church were Wellinger was also an assistant pastor. Evans wasn’t the only person I discussed Wellinger with who recognized his name as an assistant pastor from Wilkinsburg, an FBI agent I shared information about my investigation with also recognized the name of the rogue Catholic priest and also being an assistant at a Wilkensburg church..

At one point I was a freelance writer for the PG that’s how I was able to find out about the settlement with Evans. That same reporter who discussed the alleged settlement also described Evans as a very lazy reporter. Last I heard Evans may be living in Shaler, PA, if anyone would like to contact Evans to verify my story.
Years ago I had a chance to talk to Bill Stiegerwald of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. Stiegerwald is now an editor for the daily paper owned by Richard Scaife. Stiegerwald had contacted me to verify an editorial I had submitted to the paper for publication. During our conversation I asked if he knew how I might contact Ken Evans. The two had covered stories separately and together following the attempted murder of my son. Stiegerwald was no help. He barely remembered the attempted murder of my son, and the suicide of the shooter. I guess Siegerwald only remembers the big stories.

In 2003 when the Pittsburgh Diocese would finally announce that John Wellinger was no longer a priest, years after the statute of limitations had expired on many of his alleged crimes I would go to JR Block, publisher of the PG and ask to write a story on my investigation. The story never materialized.

I shared details of my investigation with one of my PG editors. He may as well have dismissed it as hogwash, he advised me that maybe TRUE Magazine would be a worthwhile venue for the story. He’s the same editor who also advised me that the PG doesn’t investigate much in the Mon Valley as it’s too corrupt and the citizenry are content to keep it that way.

I had another editor who stole plenty of my ideas for stories and articles. Another editor even asked what I thought of her. That same editor referred to my work as being most prolific of the all the freelancers she worked with at the PG.

More about a few employees at the Post-Gazette and what they knew about John Wellinger and their infatuation with Donald Wuerl in the near future.

Why would the Philly Inquirer run a story on Father Michael LeDoux and the Pittsburgh media doesn’t even want to touch the story. (See link to story below).
When the reporter refers to Michael LeDoux being an administrator for a high school and university in western PA, she means Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
It should be noted that friends and I exposed Michael LeDoux weeks ago on several Internet sites.

Michael LeDoux is now the second Franciscan cleric who served at Serra Catholic High School in the 80s and 90s to be credibly accused of sexually abusing innocent children, the other was Brother Kenneth Ghastin. A fellow colleague and I exposed Ghastin years ago. After Ghastin case was settled with twin brothers in the Boston Archdiocese, sadly, one of the brothers would commit suicide. Very similar to another case at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA where a teenage boy tried to kill my son back in 1989 when Ghastin was at Serra and just a few years before LeDoux showed up as headmaster.
The shooter in my son’s case, just like in the case of the twin brothers.

I spoke to Father Robert Campagna Provincial for Ghastin and LeDoux) a few years ago about Ghastin and specifically asked Campagna if there were other credibly accused clerics who were sent to Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport from Father Campagna’s Providence in New York. Father Campagna told me there were no others.

I trusted Father Campagna, I need to talk to him again. He’s no longer in New York having been transferred to a Provincial in Canada years ago. Keep in mind, the Pittsburgh Diocese and Serra administrators have never alerted past students of these credible accusations.

One can only speculate the extent that the Pittsburgh Diocese, Serra administrators, McKeesport elected officials, McKeesport Police, Pittsburgh media and other law enforcement officers needed to do to make sure everything was covered up.
LeDoux served at Widener University near Philadelphia, but LeDoux served at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, PA as the Headmaster and later taught at Duquesne University. Plus, LeDoux was the second credibly accused cleric to have been placed at Serra Catholic High School from the Franciscan Order in New York.
Is the Pittsburgh media afraid that more sexual abusers might be exposed with any publicity. Where’s the so-called investigative reporters from the Pittsburgh media when a story is sitting there waiting to be plucked from the air.

Keep in mind the attempted murder of my son on the Serra High School campus was covered up. The shooter had an extraordinary interest in satanism and the occult. I have documentation from a volunteer who worked with Animal Friends in the late 80s and early 90s and can verify that animals were abused in rituals at the time McKeesport, Clairton and Braddock, PA.

Former Catholic priest John Wellinger, a close friend of the shooter (in my son’s case) and a credibly accused sexual predator sought out the advice of then Mt. Lebanon police officer and occult expert John Mihalec, when, yet, another teenage boy took his own life with a shotgun blast to his head, just like the shooter who tried to kill my son. I met with Mihalec, and talked to him over the phone a few times back in 1990. Our first meeting was just a few weeks after he first met with Wellinger. Over the years since Mihalec has retired, I tried several times to contact him, he’s never returned my calls or emails. Even good cops, no what cases to avoid.

The Pittsburgh Diocese has a lot of explaining to do. For now, the Pittsburgh media will help keep the open secret an open secret.
