--urge others in law enforcement to “be more creative” in exposing abusers,

--beg those who may have “seen, suspected or suffered” abuse by Hastert to “speak up,” and

--prod Illinois lawmakers to give victims more time to take legal action against child molesters to prevent these types of situations from happening in the future

WHAT

As congregants enter and leave church services, clergy sex abuse victims and their supporters will hand out leaflets about a clergy abuse and cover up case in which

--a church worker admitted having child porn,

--his supervisors kept quiet about the crimes and

--“disciplined” his wife for trying to trying to end their marriage.

The victims will

--blast church officials for their “recklessness, callousness and deceit,”

--urge them to explain and apologize for their “hurtful actions,” and

--prod anyone else who may have “seen, suspected or suffered” the predators’ crimes or church cover ups to “call police, expose wrongdoers, get help, protect others and start healing.”

-- blast Bishop Robert Finn’s plan to preside at two upcoming church ceremonies and

-- disclose that two or three KC priests are objecting to Finn’s role in those events.

For the sake of healing and prevention, the victims will also urge

-- eight men who will become deacons next month to disinvite Finn,

-- Finn himself to voluntarily step aside from the events, and   

-- Pope Francis to name a parish priest, “not a headquarters bureaucrat” to permanently head the diocese.

As parishioners leave mass, clergy sex abuse victims and their supporters will hand them fliers. The leaflets:

-- applaud a new Georgia law that may lead to many more lawsuits against child predators

-- beg victims to use that law to “expose molesters and protect kids,” and

-- prod anyone who saw or suspected clergy sex crimes or cover ups in the Savannah area to step forward.

They will especially prod people to speak up if they have

- urge Birmingham’s bishop head to disclose the identity and whereabouts of other credibly accused clerics who have lived or worked in the area
