WHAT

Handing out fliers to parishioners as they leave the church, clergy sex abuse victims and their supporters will announce they are:

--writing to all 5 Louisiana Bishops asking for the "immediate release" of the names and whereabouts of all Church employees proven, admitted or credibly accused of child sexual abuse,

--prodding those Bishops to be "very inclusive" with the lists, and

--urging lay Catholics to donate elsewhere until Church officials do better at protecting children.

WHAT

Holding signs at a sidewalk news conference clergy sex abuse victims will, in the wake of a scathing Pennsylvania grand jury report about Catholic clergy sex crimes and cover ups:

--beg Louisiana's attorney general to probe clergy sex crimes & cover ups,  

--urge him to join a dozen other states and launch a statewide grand jury-style investigation,

--prod local prosecutors across the state to take similar steps, and

--ask all law enforcement personnel in the state to use their resources to ask, beg, and encourage victims, witnesses and whistle blowers to report known or suspected crimes and cover ups to secular authorities.

They want him to order AG to use subpoenas

SNAP also wants Hawley to delay & expand abuse inquiry

Otherwise, probe will be "politicized" and "hurtful," victims argue

WHAT

--use subpoena powers to expand a statewide clergy sex abuse inquiry, 

--question Catholic officials, in Jeff City & elsewhere, under oath, and

--use state resources to prod victims, witnesses & whistleblowers to come forward soon.

--disclose the names of nine priests named in a recent Pennsylvania grand jury report who were sent to St. Louis after having been accused of child sex crimes, and

--hand deliver a letter urging Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley to both delay and expand his clergy sex abuse inquiry.

Roughly 500 priests in the state have been accused of hurting kids, but statistics indicate there should be 2000 or more

The San Diego Diocese recently admitted it hid files on at least 8 clergymen – including a man who is still running religious retreats out of Sacramento

At least one accused priest was shuffled out of California and first publicly identified in the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report

Another clergyman with multiple allegations in the Keystone State was moved to California and worked for years in parishes in this state
