Denver Catholics:

By your silence and your donations, you are unwittingly helping child molesters.

We are men and women who were sexually abused by Catholic priests, brothers, nuns, and lay employees. We belong to a support group called SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. We have two simple goals: To protect the vulnerable and to heal the wounded.

Toward those goals, we are working hard to expose and safeguard kids from
Fr. Harold Robert White and other abusive clerics.

We applaud those brave men and women who have come forward recently to help make your church safer.

To warn parents, protect kids, expose the truth and secure a small measure of healing, some victims are turning to the open, impartial, time-tested justice system. But your archbishop is fighting them.

These wounded but brave individuals want to alert others about dangerous sexual predators and shed light on those church officials who shielded and protected molesters. But your archbishop is fighting them.

Did you know that your donations are being used to finance Archbishop Chaput's campaign against these reforms? He and his high-priced defense lawyers want to keep victims out of court and keep the church cover ups secret. Is that how you want your dollars to be spent?

Today, we ask that you please help us protect the vulnerable and heal the wounded, by urging Archbishop Chaput

-- to stop using your generous donations to thwart these child sex abuse cases on technicalities;

-- to "fight fair," not fight dirty, by dealing with the merits of these cases, not the legal minutae; and

-- to personally visit each parish where admitted, proven or credibly accused pedophile priests (including Fr. White) worked , and urge victims to step forward and get help.

Thank you!
