Judy Lorenz

Judy-Lorenz.jpgJudy Lorenz is originally from Moonachie, NJ where she enjoyed life growing up in a loving Catholic family as the youngest of five children.  She received an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting and worked for a pediatrician for a year before deciding to pursue a teaching career. Judy moved to College Park to attend the University of Maryland, and soon after, she met David Lorenz, whom she married in 1982. She has four children and one granddaughter, Leah.  Judy switched from working with children to working with elder folks in 2007 when she became a program assistant for the Bowie Senior Center.

Along with taking on a leadership role in SNAP, Judy is also involved in Voice of the Faithful, CITI Ministries, and is founder of the Emmaus Community of Bowie, an Intentional Eucharistic Community.
