Jeannie Guzman commented on Church lawyer says Michigan bishop lied to him 2012-05-15 14:57:36 -0400 · Flag
I didn’t know that lying to a lawyer was against the law. One doesn’t swear to tell the truth to a lawyer or do they, when they bring a lawyer on board to defend their case. I just presume that someone, defending a criminal would obviously know that criminals don’t always tell the truth! Duh? Almost everyone in prison claims to be “innocent” or “framed!” I’m sure this will be the excuse of any cleric, who is ever made to serve a prison sentence for covering up in the Priest Pedophilia Scandal. I just hope they don’t let them wear their black garb and Roman Collars in prison. I hope they need to wear little, orange jumpsuits like everyone else.

Frank: Do you remember the little dance and nursery rhyme of our youth, “London Bridges Falling Down?” I often substitute the words, "The Catholic Church ………………….. " It gives me great comfort and often brings a smile to my face, especially when I read the news on Abuse Tracker!

Frank: Every archdiocese should have had the Vatican’s Top-Secret Directive (circa 1982) called, “Crimen Sollicitationis” in their Secret Archive. Do you have any idea why this Top-Secret directive has never appeared as evidence in a courtroom? The case up in Philly with Monsignor Lynn, would be a good place to have it introduced!

I wonder how many other Pedophile Priests graduated from the St. Thomas Seminary in Hannibal, run by O’Connell? It would be interesting to take a look at the names in the graduating classes while O’Connell was in charge, to see how many of them are on bishops-accountability’s Hall of Shame!

Your suggestion would be “the smart thing” for Chaput to do, but he only acts smart, when it comes to bringing his expensive legal team up from Denver and when he instructs his lobbyists to fight against Statutes of Limitations being lifted in States like Colorado and PA, where he controls large archdiocese. Chaput is “SMART” when it comes to dealing with Church politics, but not so smart when it comes down to taking positive actions towards those abused.
Jeannie Guzman commented on US-based victims group blasts Cardinal Brady 2012-05-03 19:09:19 -0400 · Flag
We’ve been told since 1st grade that cardinals are just like the 12 apostles. But which apostle? Judas? If one compares Cardinal Brady’s track record to those apostles, who were listed in the Book of Acts of the Apostles, Cardinal Brady falls more than a little short. His behavior is incongruent, with that of an apostle. In fact, it’s somewhat similar to another, present-day apostle of the Church, good old Cardinal Law! With spiritual giants like these two, is it any wonder that people are leaving the Church in droves? Maybe they’re finding more genuine spirituality in the little Protestant Church down the block, than they are in big cathedrals, with cardinals Law and Brady presiding!

Is there a chance that Fr. Brad Schaeffer will be put on trial in a similar fashion to Monsignor Lynn up in Philly, for his part in (allegedly) protecting known pedophiles under his supervision? Who would need to initiate this legal process?

As Joseph Goebbels exhibited time and time again: “Tell a BIG enough lie, long enough, and almost everyone will be believe you.” Calling the current trial up in PHilly “A Circus,” is probably wishful thinking on the part of Bishop Bransfield, but never-the-less, it’s good propaganda! Hopefull, Bishop Bransfield will end up in one of the side-shows, in what he has termed “the circus.”

My, oh my! How “convenient” that Cardinal Mahoney needs to make a trip to the Vatican at this time! If I recall, Cardinal Law did the same thing by absconding to Rome, so that he could avoid the embarrassment of being subpoenaed! Fortunately, this current trial in Philly is going to open the floodgates of similar trials held in the United States, Canada and possibly even Australia! I am surprised that there haven’t been similar criminal investigations in the form of trials of the Hierarchy in Ireland! I think that the patience of many has paid off! Scriptures teach: “Patience comes through tribulation,” and God knows that Survivors have been “Tried and Tribulated,” enough! (BTW, I do know that “tribulated” is not a real word, but it just seemed to fit in this instance!)

I predict that after the Monsignor Lynn trial in Philly the floodgates will literally open to similar trials around the country. After Bishop Finn in Cleveland, hopefully Cardinal Mahony will be the next member of the Hierarchy to be held accountable for coverups of Priest Pedophilia in his Archdiocese(s). God is in His heaven. Justice will finally prevail!

I believe there is a group of priests that are “Pedophile Priests Without Borders!” The Vatican knows who they are! They are assigned from one country to another, until their crimes of present or past Peodphilia catch up with them. Thank God this is starting to happen more and more! Crimes such as these only point an international Vatican Strategy to protect Pedophile Priests. It’s orchestrated from the top on down! It has to be stopped and it has to go as far as World Court if necessary!

God does answer prayer, and I’m believing that finally, those who were abused by Pedophile Priests and ignored by members of the Hierarchy, will finally see some degree of justice.

Where are these mythical Members of the Hierarchy with "Better records on children’s safety? Are they invisible? Are they Fox’s Book of Saints? Have they been spirited off to another planet by aliens? If the Pope looks really hard, I bet he can’t find any! But, whose fault is that? His fault or the fault of his past predecessors? Maybe the Pope will need to search outside of his Neanderthal Hierarchy to find any!

The latest news out of the Vatican is a real joke! Just when the Vatican is putting on an international “Dog and Pony Show,” concerning how well She has learned how to deal with Survivors, the Most Reverend Cardinal Egan pulls a cute, little stunt. The Vatican’s international symposium “Towards Healing and Renewal” is all over the news, at least in every Western Country. How gullible does the Church think the public really is (q mark broken). ALL members of the Hierarchy of the Catholic Church, including those at the Vatican have a responsibility to Survivors to chastise Egab, publically. If the international Church doesn’t do this, She’ll have “egg on her face,” forever, and I’m including the afterlife, when the Church can hold as many interplanetary symposiums as She so desires, right under the Gates of Hell!
