CA - Victims blast auxiliary bishop for putting his career over kid’s safety
Decades ago, Bishop Curry had a "clear understanding" - that child sexual abuse was criminal and should be reported to police. But he refused to call police.
Instead, he acted on another clear - but conflicting "understanding" - that he'd never been disciplined, demoted, defrocked or even denounced by his church colleagues or supervisors if he kept on protecting predators and endangering kids.
Himself and his career? Or kids and their safety? This was Curry's choice. And for decades, he obviously, repeatedly, recklessly and selfishly chose himself and his career over the safety of kids.
