Four ex-Penn State coaches, including one now in Los Angeles, have been implicated in newly-released records concerning Jerry Sandusky and Joe Paterno.

We call on these former PSU staffers to publicly address allegations and suggestions that they knew about or suspected child sex crimes by Sandusky but did little or nothing to stop them or report them to police.

According to ESPN, the documents show that “current UCLA defensive coordinator Tom Bradley and (others) were among those coaches who were also aware of the abuse.”

The four former Penn State coaches are Bradley (now with UCLA) Greg Schiano (now with Ohio State), Kevin O'Dea (now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Jim Tarman. (A fifth ex-Penn State coach, Joe Sarra, was reportedly told about Sandusky’s crimes but Sarra is deceased.)

It’s important that more of the truth about this scandal be revealed and clarified. The more we know about child sex crimes and cover ups, the better we can prevent them in the future.

The PSU community, Pennsylvania taxpayers and wide public deserve to know more about this mess.

No matter what these men or school officials do or don’t do, we urge every single person who saw, suspected or suffered child sex crimes and cover ups at Penn State or the Second Mile to protect kids by calling police, get help by calling therapists, expose wrongdoers by calling law enforcement, get justice by calling attorneys, and be comforted by calling support groups like ours. This is how kids will be safer, adults will recover, criminals will be prosecuted, cover ups will be deterred and the truth will surface.

John Doe 150 said in a 2014 deposition that he informed Paterno the day after a 1976 incident that Sandusky stuck his finger in the 14-year-old boy's rectum while showering. The man said in 2014 that other boys in a shower heard him yell that Sandusky had just touched him sexually.

He said he told several adults about it, then  . . .
