Mark, you presented a quite lucid statement of what’s going on, and the various contexts in which we victims find ourselves. The care you took to present the contexts helps to show how nonsensical the church actions are.

Erin, I did not know your story of how the church treated you until now. I had a similar, but not quite as bad, experience with Jesuits, who promised me confidentiality and privacy to my face and then openly talked to each other about me, with fall out for me.

The Roman Catholic Church cannot be trusted to protect victims. I have been lied to so many times in what is supposed to be the new era of the church.

Thank you for the intelligent way in which you presented all of this.
